About the Camp

This program is designed for children with disabilities and special needs, including high-functioning autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities.

For ages 12 and up
3:1 instructor ratio (on land)
1:1 instructor ration (in water)
Runs 9:30am-12:30pm

Boogie + Water Skills

Focuses on building confidence, comfort, and safe ocean experiences, when conditions allow, through:

Adaptive boogie boarding
Ocean play
Wave interaction
Entering and exiting the water
Standing in shallow water
Ocean comfort and awareness

Ocean activities are supervised at a 1:1 instructor-to-student ratio. Instruction will be modified as needed based on each participant’s comfort level, physical ability, communication needs, and overall support requirements. Life jackets are available.

Beach Activities + Fun

Outside the water, camp provides fun modified beach activities, incorporating throwing, catching, kicking, running, jumping, balancing, turn taking, cooperative play, game strategy, spatial awareness, bilateral coordination, and recreation skills. Activities may include:

Activities may be modified depending on participant needs, energy levels, and group structure.

Camp Eligibility Requirements

This camp is designed for individuals with disabilities ages 12 and older who are able to participate in ocean and beach-based activities.

We are unable to accommodate individuals who use wheelchairs or those who require a higher level of behavioral support due to behaviors such as biting, hitting, or kicking.
